Micah Beard- Executive Director
Micah Beard came to Palomar Christian Conference Center from Huntsville, Texas. Micah has been in camp ministry for more than 15 years. Micah attended Sam Houston State University which is where his relationship with Christ grew and his love for camp ministry began . Micah first started in camp ministry at Forest Glen Christian Camp where he worked for 10 years serving Christ in many roles. After 10 years, he felt God lay on his heart to be a Children’s pastor at The Woodland’s Church in The Woodlands, Texas. As a children’s pastor he shared God’s word, lead a ministry team, and helped the church plant satellite churches around the Houston area. After two years at the church, Micah again felt a calling to do camp ministry again. He became the director at Carolina Creek Christian Camp in Huntsville, Texas. As director he over saw summer staff for program camps, helped develop and build a new camp facility, directed the year-round retreat program, and many other leadership areas.
As the Executive Director of Palomar Christian Conference Center, Micah oversees camp operations and leads a team of incredible camp ministry servants. He is active in both fundraising and board development. Micah has a passion for God’s word and wants to share God’s love with everyone he meets. He believes that Lives are changed through camp ministry. Micah is married to Jana and they have two incredible children, Grace and Benjamin.
Lane Yule- Maintenance Manager
Meet Lane, our Maintenance Manager. He has been serving at Palomar since 2004 and he met his wonderful wife here, Hilda, who works in the kitchen. He loves serving the Lord and makes sure the camp looks good. And he can fix anything around camp!
Joseph Stevens- Executive Chef
I enjoy sarcasm and causing trouble in the kitchen. I am working on it though…not really. Just Joking 
I love serving the lord through cooking and bringing smiles and happy bellies to all that come into the kitchen.
David Hasty- Youth Program Coordinator
I grew up as a missionary kid at the Wycliffe Center in Dallas, Texas where I played hockey, built forts, and made friends with kids from all over the world. I have also had the opportunity to see a lot of different people and cultures and how they relate in faith to our Lord and Savior. What a blessing! Since I have moved out to Palomar Mountain, I found and married the love of my life, Melanie. The resounding theme in my life has been God’s sovereignty and faithfulness to shape me into a Christ-follower. Other important things about me, I have a great passion for God’s Word, people, and Star Wars.
Christina Roy- Guest Group Coordinator
Having worked at a Christian camp for my first “real” job, and coming from a similarly mountainous area (Lake Arrowhead), PCCC really feels like home. However, my second home would have to be Tacoma, WA, which is where I went to the University of Puget Sound to major in Religion and minor in Math – weird combination, I know. I enjoy transformative video editing, analyzing fiction for its ethical implications, and being a massive sci-fi/fantasy geek.
Matt Acosta- Accomodations Coordinator
I was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in Palmdale, California. I attended the Master’s College and during that time God brought me to PCCC. I am excited to be soon be celebrating my tenth summer at PCCC in 2013! I was incredibly blessed to meet my beautiful wife, Laurel, while serving at Palomar. I am passionate about serving others, counseling, and sharing the glorious Gospel of Christ to whoever wants to listen. I also love reading, basketball and rock climbing.
Hilda Yule- Food Service Coordinator

I love my family and have a wonderful wife and three kids. I really enjoy boating on lakes, snowboarding, and hiking. In addition to my passion for Christ and my family I have a passion for building and remodeling buildings. I grew up in and around construction and have been working construction since I was twelve.
Sarah Eddings- Gift Shop
When I’m not running the camp gift shop, I am kept very busy at home with my three kids – twin girls and their younger brother. I love being able to homeschool them & be home with them the majority of the time. In my spare time (what’s that?) I love to quilt, sew, craft, and bake! We’re blessed to be called to service here at PCCC!
Ian Beck- Outdoor Education Lead + Food Service Associate
God is God and I am not. I am so blessed to serve here at PCCC and am Thankful that God brought me here where I my met my lovely wife Jodi. While we love serving here, we believe that God might have overseas missions in store for us in our future. I hope that you will be blessed as you come up to Palomar and seek God’s word and encounter Him in a new and fresh way.
Jodi Beck- Food Service Associate
I loved growing up in Brazil and being a missionary kid. Since then, God has provided the opportunity to study Biblical Counseling at the Master’s College in Southern California and to be involved in a cross-cultural church plant with New Tribes Mission. God then brought my loving husband Ian into my life here at PCCC where we love serving others through this Christian Camping Ministry and volunteering at our church down the hill.
Zach Harris- Maintenance Technician
I love anything outdoors and serving wherever I am needed. I love Christian Camping ministries and working here at Palomar. Most people don’t know that I am from Atlanta and I have a degree to work with beef cattle.
Thomas Morrison- Accomodations Lead
I grew up in the great state of Texas, third-born among six children. My wife, Ashley, and I met while on staff at a Christian camp and we count it a blessing to be able to work together in the ministry where God has called us. I love the outdoors and will always have a place in my heart for the Texas Rangers, pecan pie, and Ultimate Frisbee.
Ashley Morrison- Food Service Associate
I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. I love camp ministry. It’s been one of my favorite job’s of all time! I’ve been working at camps since 2009 and met my husband in 2011 J, then married him Nov 10, 2012. Definitely one of the best days of my life! I love being outdoors and meeting new people. My hobbies are crafts and looking at Pinterest. I’m definitely a mamma’s girl, she’s one of my best friends. My one true love is the Lord Jesus Christ!
Joseph Moulton- Maintenance Groundskeeper
I was born and raised in San Diego East County. I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Recreation and Tourism Management from San Diego State University (SDSU). GO AZTECS! While attending SDSU I played trumpet in the marching band. Also during that time I was a church pianist. I have had the privilege of working in Christian Camping since 2008 and have been on Palomar Mountain since April 2012. Things I enjoy are music, playing piano, playing trumpet, baseball, football, college basketball, road trips (I’ve taken many cross country road trips to Georgia), trains, photography, camping, hiking, sunrises and sunsets (which I get to enjoy nearly every day somewhere on the mountain), movies, amusement parks(favorite park is Knotts Berry Farm) and looking at the stars through my telescope (my favorite objects are Orion’s Nebula (M42), Andromeda Galaxy (M31), Globular Cluster in the constellation Hercules (M13) Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn).
Brenda Hall- Administrative Assistant
I grew up in Minnesota which means I absolutely love the warmth and sunshine on Palomar Mountain! I discovered my passion for Christian Camping after working in a dog groomer’s store, and hope to be here for awhile. I love to be around and talk to people, so come say Hi next time you’re up!
Wayne Bagstad- Food Service Associate
I really love living in So. California. I love serving our Lord Jesus Christ and his people. In the past, I have had a lot of jobs. I went to the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs and obtained my RN Degree. Go Buffalos! I worked as a nurse for 15 years in Colorado. Then I had a strong calling to serve God’s people through Him. I really like meeting new people with our guests. And most of all I love our staff and seeing how much they love Christ through the Holy Spirit and how they love to serve as well.
Katie Harris- Administrative Assistant
Although Seattle will always be home, I love living here on Palomar Mountain. I worked as a cosmetologist for four years, but my calling is in Christian camping. When I am not working I enjoy making crafts, sewing, and blogging; but mostly I love being with people!
