Palomar is very isolated and there are no gasoline stations nearby. Make sure you fill up before you come up the mountain. If you are coming through Escondido, the last place to buy gas is in Valley Center. If you are coming from the North, the last place will be in Pala.
If you are using a GPS to find us, make sure it does not direct you onto Nate Harrison Grade. State Road S6 is the safest route to PCCC.
Driving Instructions:
From the I-15, take highway 76 East to the S-6 (South Grade). Take the S-6 North for 7 miles to where it intersects with the S-7 and turn left, then left again onto State Park Road. Head west approximately 3 miles. You will then enter Palomar Mountain State Park where the posted speed is 15mph. Follow the signs for “Christian Conference Center.” Be mindful of the posted speed and Stop sign at the entry station. Be cautious of any park visitors walking along the roadway and of course any wildlife that may cross the roadway at any given time.
Please note that the conference center guests are not required to pay the entrance fee to drive through the park, however you are required to pay day use parking fees when utilizing the park. Conference Center guests are also not allowed to post any directional or event signage in the park. All laws will be enforced by State Rangers
