Wrangler in Training Program
This program is not merely to learn about horses. It is focused on growth and character development.

The Wrangler in Training Program provides opportunities for:

  • Growth in Christian faith
  • Increase horsemanship and riding ability
  • Sharing Christ campers
  • Ministry in a camp setting
  • Helping at the barn with Chores and herd management
  • Assist in teaching young kids to ride

Qualifications

  • Have completed sophomore year or 16 years old
  • Seeking to grow a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ
  • A love for horses and campers
  • Eager for personal growth
  • IN good physical condition
  • At least CHA level 2 riding ability
  • Cost $100

$50 deposit (non-refundable, non-transferable) is due when the applicant is accepted. The balance is due on or before June 1.
Each WIT will fill out an application and go through an interview where their character, horsemanship skills, spiritual readiness and leadership potential will be determined by careful appraisal.

God – Horses – Ministry
Two Sessions to choose from – June 17th through July 14th and July 15th through August 11th

There will be mandatory staff training week for both sessions June 10-15

  • The WIT’s will have one of each per week:
  • Riding Lesson
  • Bible Study as a small group
  • Seminar (in depth horse science, or leadership class) The expectations will be high in regards to responsibilities and conduct.
